And all things you ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive. - Matthew 21:22

Prayer is so easy and simple. When you talk to your mother or father, sister or brother, friend or foe, we communicate freely. It is a natural thing for us to do. We don't hesitate to tell somebody about our aches and pains or about the trip you have just been on.

We openly say plenty of things to family and even strangers. So why do we find it so terribly hard to speak to the Lord. Talking to the Lord is just the same or in a way far more simpler. God wants us to communicate with Him and more frequently too.

Unfortunately, we all fall short and we seem to think that we should talk to the Lord only when we are in trouble or misfortune has fallen on us. I know that I have used that excuse far to often. When all is going well, we seem to forget prayer and sometimes even forget the Lord. But as soon as we are feeling heavy laden and distressed in an area in our lives we quickly begin to pray. We need to learn how to pray more openly, more frequently and have the faith to know that God does listen and does answer. Sometimes the answer is not what we wanted and even sometimes we even miss the answer. It's human nature. We need to program ourselves to pray and not just for praying sake, but for God's sake. He wants and needs to hear from us. He is the daddy we can trust in and confide in if you are lonely or on your own. He is always there. Not just from morning to dinner or at bedtimes, but always. 24 hours a day God is waiting on us to pray to Him.

So come to the Lord in prayer. If you are in need of prayer, please use our Prayer Book and your requests will be addressed.

In Christ,

Therefore encourage one another, and build up one another, just as you also are doing.
